She didn't just stop at delivering great copy; she offered valuable insights on how to engage my clients and helped me articulate my services more effectively. She also encouraged me to think about the broader scope of my business strategy. It's been a great experience working with her, and I'd certainly recommend her expertise to others.”

How it works
Here's a step-by-step guide to the editing process. If your document is short (i.e. less than 10,000 words), the process excludes the paid sample edit and payment is made in full either before or upon completion of the edit.
1
Get to know you
Send me an email and let me know about the project (e.g. the subject matter, target audience, word count and deadline). I'll let you know if it's in my wheelhouse and when I can get started.
2
Provide a sample edit
To find how much work is required (and if we're a good fit), I'll provide a 1000-word sample edit. I charge $50 for this service. If we move ahead, I'll deduct it from the final project fee.
Send a quote
I'll provide a full quote for the project. Once approved, I'll send an agreement to review and sign. I'll also request a 50% deposit (unless you're a publisher or retainer client).
3
4
Start editing
I'll complete the edit in the agreed timeframe and let you know if there are any issues or questions. If I'm copyediting a non-fiction book, I'll send chapters separately for feedback.
5
Deliver the files
Depending on our agreement, I'll deliver Word or PDF files with or without markup. Once you've approved them, you'll receive an invoice for the balance of the project fee.
6
Wrap up
Your writing is now ready for submission or publication! If you've got more editing projects, we can arrange to work together again. If it was a one-off, I'll ask for feedback and a testimonial.
" ... she edits with a keen eye, making insightful suggestions that make us think and often result in improved copy. She is also able to adapt readily to the tone of voice or style we need for each client and hits the mark every time, even when it is a new client or a one-off project ... I am pleased to have found Gabriella. We feel she is more a partner and extension of the team than a freelance resource."
